REVIEW: Kidskin 3-Step Acne Kit

Kidskin 3 Step Acne Kit for kids, pre-teens and teens

Kids need extra care when it comes to their skin. They’re exposed to dirt and grime as they play, attend school, and from simply being a kid. Toss hormones into the mix as they get older and it’s easy to see why children have their own set of needs when it comes to skin care – This is where Kidskin comes in. Overlooking skin care can lead to dryness, accumulated dirt, acne, skin infections, and other conditions that can affect overall health and confidence. I have four boys and I have found each have different skin care needs.

I was very excited when offered the opportunity to try the Kidskin line of skin careKidskin products are all paraben, fragrance, sulfate, gluten and cruelty free. Their range includes an anti-inflammatory skin cleanser and other products made specifically for children and preteens. It is suitable for sensitive and oily skin, with some of the products safe for use from as young as six years of age. Please note you will need to check the product information to check its suitability to each age group. It contains only natural and safe ingredients that effectively remove dirt, and excess oil. As a result, at the same time, it moisturises and soothes. I particularly love that Kidskin was created by a father (with a team of chemists and dermatologists) for his daughter. She had developed acne at the age of six. It worked so well they started offering it for sale!

Our Experience

We decided to try the Kidskin, 3-Step Acne Kit. This included the T-Blast Foaming Cleanser, Z-Blast Clarifying Serum, and Calming Moisturiser for 30 days. I will say I was a little concerned as my son was mid breakout and has eczema. I worried it would be too much for his skin. After two days my worries were gone. The cleanser was very gentle and while it did cleanse it seemed to replenish moisture also. By day five I could see a noticeable difference in his skin. His breakout areas were less red, irritated, and inflamed.

My son is a football player and tends to sweat a lot under his helmet and will break out along his hairline. While using this product he skin seemed a lot cleaner. By the end of the 30 days the areas that are usually dry seemed brighter and more moisturized and the inflammation from his eczema diminished greatly. It also cleared up the minor breakout he was experiencing that was easily cleansed and gone within 2 days. I was very pleased with the results and so was he.

skincare for tweens

If you have a child and are looking for a skin care range that actually cleans the skin without irritating then this is a product for you. My son has already requested I order more when he runs out! I expect it to last a while though because you only need a little bit and it goes a long way.
